Community Facility
Up-date of the community centre
Over the past couple years one of
the aims of the association has been
to build and run a community centre.
This is because there are limited
facilities available in the area from
which social activities can be organised and carried out.
This would have major benefits for
all age groups. The actual design
of the centre is as yet, not confirmed.
A feasibility study was carried out
by a consultant to look at how the
building should look and how it could
be sustained into the foreseeable
future.

This
work is almost complete, but sustainability
is still a major issue, how you raise
the running cost but not overcharge
people who want to use the services.
It is also important to provide the
right type of activity for different
age groups and tastes which is key,
if you want the facility to be well
used.
